Cadaver Cantabrigensis: A Cambridge Corpse

The Master of All Saints College, Cambridge, dies unexpectedly, leaving his body to the University Anatomy Department. Initially, there are three candidates for the vacant mastership, two from the senior common room and one proposed by the government of the day. In the Master’s papers, a further candidate, a Russian academic and friend, is also named, and by convention, the Master’s wishes must be considered.
The Master, however, does not seem to be dead in the accepted sense and is determined to influence the outcome of the competition for his place. Jim Wilson and the Canon quickly find themselves involved in a complex and terrifying series of events in which the Master’s evil interventions are only thwarted at the very last minute.
