Persistence of Vision: Seeing is not believing
About
A woman haunted by her past, a scientist linked to a living computer, and two gamers trapped in a deadly contest – their lives are woven together by a technology that blurs the line between memory, reality, and the virtual world. As their stories collide across time and cyberspace, they must confront not only their own demons but also the sinister architects of their realities, all while questioning whether the biggest game is the one being played on them.
A thrilling, pulse-pounding psychological thriller which careers along at a breakneck pace and will keep you guessing until the final page.
Your mind is a battleground. Nothing is real. No one is safe.
Praise for this book
I have to admit that I was slightly nervous before reading this; I wasn’t sure about being able to follow something so multi-layered. I needn’t have worried though, as John handled it so well, it was easy to keep up with the what and the where.
We are thrown into the story almost immediately when we are introduced to ‘Amorphus’, a cyber-organic computer invented in 2045, used to assist the solving of crimes carried out in the past. Or is it?
This entire book blurs the lines between fantasy and reality, especially for the characters of Jack and Charlotte. And who is Mr. Gainsford? Is he good or evil? Only time will tell, or will it?
It might sound confusing but reading it was a real pleasure. I loved the idea of not knowing what was a dream, a fantasy, and what was real. In some ways it reminded me of the movie called ‘Inception’, where nothing was quite what it seemed, only this book was less of a challenge to follow.
A lot of action, suspicion, betrayal, together with a touch of romance. Great for computer gamers too.
Well done, Mr Regan. You’ve written another winner!
Plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes
Super story with numerous twists and turns throughout. Never quite knew where the story was going. Loved it.
Format: Paperback
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Lots of twists and turns and the story didn't go where I expected it to. Another great book well written.
